A very good friend of mine. Asked if i would mine making a 90's card for her auntie. I was so excited to be asked to make one. This is the card that I made.  It is not a good photo of the card which i apologise for. But i did enjoy making it. I made the flowers myself and all products in this work is Stampin' Up! products. Love my Stampin' Up

This card was made for my roomie at Stampin' Up Convention in Canberra this year. Once again I love working with neutral colours. I finally used my DSP paper (designer series paper) Mocha Morning. Also I used the new Iridescent Ice Emboss Powder.  I'm very proud of myself with this card.

Sample of cards I have made at classes I have attended

These swaps were made for convention last year in Melbourne.

Top is Basic Black card stock back ground with Cherry Cobbler card stock using the Vintage Wallpaper impressions embossing folder. Using the Heart punch. Punched out one Cherry Cobbler heart and two Basic Grey hearts. The Basic Grey hearts are also embossed with Vintage Wallpaper, Every piece is daub with Basic Black ink stamp. Also over the cherry Cobbler card stock. At the end I spray it with Silver Foil Smooch Spritz.

Below is Early Espresso card stock with Whisper white on top. Using the Elements of Style stamp sets.  I used Early Espresso and Sahara Sand stamp ink. I punched the bottom of the Whisper White card stock with Eyelet Border Punch. Other Punches used is Circle 3/4 & Circle 1 inch. The last bit was a strip of Sahara Sand card stock cut in a strip and over lap it.

This is a card I made at my convention room mate house Michelle. Michelle created this card and then showed us how to put it together. I got to used a sewing machine yeah which I have not used on since high school. The stamp set is Merry & Type. The card stock is Cherry Cobbler & Old Olive. Designer Series Paper used is Letters to Santa. Stamp Ink used is Cherry Cobbler & Old Olive. Also the lovely ribbon is Cherry Cobbler Striped Grossgrain Ribbon. I enjoyed putting this card together.

I made this beautiful card at a class at my Upline place Shanneans. The stamp sets is Vintage Vogue & En Francais background stamp. The card stock used is Early Espresso, Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla. As you can see there is distressing around the Crumb Cake and Very Vanilla and also daubing too.  Early Espresso, Cherry Cobbler & Crumb Cake ink was used. I love this stamp sets and the ideas are endless.

Convention

Convention Convention Convention

One of the best parts of Convention is swapping with other demonstrators - its a great ice breaker, meeting other people who speak the same language as me and are passionate about the same things as me. . . well at least during Convention!  So we swap card fronts and projects and get great ideas, make new friends and share the love of all things Stampin' Up!
I have started my swaps for this year.  My goal is to make 400 minimum so that I get to meet at least 400 attendees. I will introduce myself as Paula from Cairns and hope that some people remember me from from Melbourne (inside joke for those who now tease me about the way I introduced myself last year!).

Until I am back again later, take it easy.

Tuesday 6 March 2012

This card was made at Retreat 2011. I cased this card from a web site and I liked the card so much I wanted to copy it.  I changed a number of the products as I didn't have all the same materials and tools and wanted to make it using only Stampin' Up! products.  I loved how it turned out.
I really enjoyed creating this card and love working with neural colours.
This card was the first 6 x 6 size card I have ever made and I was so proud of it. The design kind of just came together.  I was very happy with the colour combination and layout.  The more cards I make the more I understand that cards are just small scrapping pages.
.
Here is another card that I put together at Retreat 2011. This card idea came to me whilst I was working with the stamp set, Elements of Style.  Amazing what my creative mind can come up with when I put it to work!
I made this card at Stampin' Up! Retreat weekend September 2011. My upline Shannean www.stampingshanni.blogspot.com organises a three day stamping and scrapping get away each year.  We have so much fun.  I was excited to win the swaps competition and other awards over the weekend, sorry Mette to pip you at the post!

The card is stamped in white using Baroque Motif.  The cardstocks are blushing bride, early espresso and I highlighted some of the embelishments are popped using vanilla smooch, diamentes and crystal effects.

I really enjoyed experimenting and was so happy when it all came together effortlessly.
